- At the start of the 90s SM ELECTRONIC greatly expanded its range to include telephones, antennae, multimedia, audio/video.
- In 1998 SM ELECTRONIC started to market its own products under its own SKYMASTER brand and established itself as the market leader in this sector.

- 2000 relocation from Hamburg-Steilshoop to Stapelfeld in SM ELECTRONIC's own premises with a total area of 10,000 m2
- 2005 sold to Thomson
- In January 2008, SM ELECTRONIC was taken over by Arques Industries AG as a result of the new strategic orientation of Thomson.
- In July 2008 SM ELECTRONIC founded the subsidiary Skymaster Electronics Ltd in Hong Kong
- September 2008 launch of SM ELECTRONICS factory outlet in Stapelfeld
- October 2008 inauguration of the second site in Barsbüttel
- 31. October 2008 SM ELECTRONICS was 30 years old.
