I cannot receive any (or only a few) !

The signals are transmitted with either vertical or horizontal polarity. It may be necessary to rotate the antenna by 90° to one side. This also applies to reflectors/directors of indoor antennae.

However, it is possible that the signal strength is too weak for the antenna being used.

How many programmes can I receive?

This depends on your location and the power of the transmitter. Here you can find out which stations you can receive at your location.

I can only receive a few programmes, the reception is extremely poor at times.

With extremely poor reception conditions DECT and mobile phones can additionally interfere with reception.

Why can I not receive any digital programmes, although my location is supplied with digital programmes?

If you use an antenna with a 5 Volt supply voltage, you must switch on the option AERIAL (under INSTALLATION in the menu). For antennae with their own power supply (AC 230 Volt, plug-in mains unit or cigarette lighter plug) you should leave the supply voltage switched off.

I have connected up the pre-programmed device for the first time and many of the programme positions are empty!

As the channels are allocated locally, we basically recommend the following steps:

RESET: 1.1 Call up the MAIN MENU (MENU key, then the blue key) 1.2 Call up the SETUP menu (cursor keys, then OK) 1.3 Call up the ADVANCED menu (cursor keys, then OK) 1.4 Carry out a RESET (password 0000)

SEARCH: 2.1 MENU key (the Welcome menu is displayed) 2.2 Select “Search all channels” (press green key) 

Why can I not receive all programmes via my old house antenna?

There may be components in the antenna system (switches, distributors, sockets or amplifiers) which are not suitable for the reception of digital signals. In principle, these components should be designed for the VHF ranges (Ch 5 - 12) and UHF (Ch 21 – 69). Especially older antennae are not suitable for the reception of the higher UHF channels.

Is DVB-T reception possible abroad?

In some countries DVB-T is available – of course usually only national stations are broadcast.

Can PREMIERE be received via DVB-T ?

No, reception is only possible with a satellite or cable connection. We recommend that you change to a satellite system.

The receiver displays the wrong time or shows the incorrect time for the EPG data.

Check in the menu whether the time zone and summer time on/off is set .

Why show some programs not the complete EPG data?

Since a few days (February 2009) program providers broadcast more EPG data than before. The memory size of many receivers is not enough for this additional information. General functionality of receiver is not be touched and no defect is there.
