Questions about digital satellite reception
Why can I not receive all the stations – even with a search?
Broadcaster may change frequencies / transponder so it is necessary to add new transponders to the list in your receiver sometimes. See the instructions for your receiver, as this procedure is different for various types. You can find the current data e.g. under www.ses-astra.com or www.eutelsat.de. Only then can all stations be found with a search.
My digital receiver does not show any programmes, the analog receiver is ok.
Your satellite system is not suitable for digital reception. Replace all components which are not suitable for digital reception (e.g. receiver, LNB, multi-switch).
Can a card-reader slot be retrofitted to an FTA receiver?
No, unfortunately this is not possible. To receive scrambled stations, a CI receiver or a receiver with unscrambling software (“embedded system”) is necessary.
Can you watch Premiere with Skymaster CI devices?
Yes (with slight limitations), if you have the correct CI module. However, only PREMIERE certified receivers have an option button, with which one can directly select the so-called optional channels of PREMIERE Direkt and PREMIERE Sport.
What is the pre-set password?
According to the model, the password is 0000 or 1234. You can find the information in your manual under Parental Control.
Can my new digital receiver also receive analog programmes?
No, a digital receiver can only receive digital programmes and be operated in a digital satellite system. The names of Skymaster digital receivers usually begin with a “D” (e.g. DXS 23 or DX 5).
My receiver shows “No Signal”
The satellite selection has probably been changed in the programme overview. Call up the programme overview and select ASTRA or ALL SATELLITES, using the Vol. +/- keys. The selected programme list is displayed at the top of the programme overview.
The receiver displays the wrong time or shows the incorrect time for the EPG data.
Check in the menu whether the time zone and summer time on/off is set correctly.
